This will expose the fast idle set screw behind the choke housing. Using a ¼ inch open-ended wrench, turn the screw clockwise to increase the rpm or counter clockwise to decrease the rpm (see right). Close the throttle and restart the engine and check the rpm.

WebSep 17, 2015 · Going to 4.5 power valve is a good idea, if your cam only produces 8-10 in of vacuum. Check your vacuum at idle, to see what it's making. If your idling and the power valve is open, that would explain your problem. You might try to get a PV plug, or at least vacuum check your power valve.
