A late uparmoured Mk III, IV or VI with APDS would be your best bet, still considerably less armoured than Churchill VII. I'm not sure if a slow moving tank with Tiger I levels of armour would be amazing at 5.3 even with APDS as that'd bring you upto about 180mm of pen but low damage.
